When your side project becomes your obsession, it’s time to put something out there. Something bold as the people I capture in my photography. People of every race and age sharing a common frozen moment. Almost floating frozen in time displaying their best attributes.
In these 5 years project, I wanted to twist the traditional concept of portrait to show
the unique personal journey of the subject, making an accent on the fashion,
the movements, the shades, and detail that make an individual unique in their environment.
After 5 years of capturing the journey of people on the streets around the world.
I realised that a part of the pretty cool looks I feature, I found a deeper meaning of #Backportraits, where I dive into different cultural expressions to highlight our diversity.
Inspired on the ancient Japanese calligraphy, we created a layered key visuals where watercolours flows free on the screen creating an avant-garde experience.
